FGF-2 (154) (animal free), human recombinant
A single-chain polypeptide growth factor that plays a significant role in the process of wound healing and is a potent inducer of angiogenesis. The growth factor is an extremely potent inducer of DNA synthesis in a variety of cell types from mesoderm and neuroectoderm lineages. It was originally named basic fibroblast growth factor based upon its chemical properties and to distinguish it from acidic fibroblast growth factor. Recombinant Human FGF-b (FGF-2) is a single, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain. Animal Free: This product is produced with no animal-derived raw products, animal free equipment and animal free protocols.
Peptides & proteins
FGF2, HBGF-2, Prostatropin
Produced using animal free raw components and processes, in a non-mammalian system. Ideal for researchers concerned about the risks and effects of contaminating viruses, prions and trace growth factors from FBS and animal-derived ingredients used in standard recombinant protein production techniques. Endotoxin levels are less than 1.0 EU per ug protein via LAL. Bioactivity is comparable to recombinant protein produced in traditional techniques.
