Recombinant Human soluble TRAIL (also called TNF-related apoptosis-inducing Ligand, TNFSF10, Apo2 Ligand and TL2) is produced by a wide variety of cell types and is shown to be a cytotoxic protein that induces apoptosis in tumor cells through activation of the DR4 and DR5 receptors. Recombinant human TRAIL is produced in E.coli as a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain.
