FIN56
Squalene synthase activator / GPX4 degradation / FIN56 is a novel inducer of ferroptosis acting via degradation of GPX4 and activation of squalene synthase (leading to CoQ10 depletion, a compound which inhibits ferroptosis via an unknown mechanism).1 FIN56 inhibited glioblastoma growth in vitro and in vivo via induction of ferroptosis as well as lysosomal membrane permeabilization.2
