Deferiprone
Iron chelator / Deferiprone is a clinically useful iron chelator.1 It attenuated blood-brain-barrier breakdown and brain mitochondrial dysfunction in rats with chronic iron-overload.2 Iron chelation therapy has been suggested as a possible therapy for Alzheimers Disease.3
