Antioxidant-nonphenolic / MCI-186 is an antioxidant free radical scavenger used as a neuroprotective agent following acute brain ischemia and subsequent cerebral infarction.1,2 It also protects against MPTP-induced neurotoxicity in the Substantia Nigra.3
