Liproxstatin-1
Ferroptosis inhibitor / Liproxstatin-1 is an inhibitor of ferroptosis (IC50 = 22 nM).1 It was able to mitigate tissue injury in a mouse model of hepatic ischemia/reperfusion injury.1 It protected mouse myocardium against ischemia/reperfusion injury via a decrease in VDAC1 and restoration of GPX4 levels.2 Liproxstatin-1’s mechanism of activity has been attributed to its activity as a radical-trapping antioxidant.3
