GDF-11 / BMP-11, human recombinant
Growth differentiation factor 11 (GDF-11 or BMP-11) is an important developmental factor that regulates muscular and neural development. In adults, GDF-11 is suspected to promote the reversal of cardiac hypertrophy by the regeneration of cardiomyocytes. GDF-11 is a non-glycosylated homodimer, containing two 109 amino acids chains, with each having a molecular weight of 12.5 kDa.
