Green Downward DAG BacMam Kit (CMV promoter)

Live cell assay for measuring diacylglycerol (DAG) using green fluorescent sensor that changes in response to increases in DAG. Downward sensor fluorescence decreases following activation of a Gq-coupled GPCR, and is designed for conditions with high background fluorescence to more easily separate sensor signal from background. Signals are easily detectable on either fluorescence plate readers or imaging systems. Packaged in BacMam, a BSL-1 insect virus engineered with a mammalian promoter, for safe handling and expression in a wide range of cell types. The assay can be used to unambiguously resolve PLC pathway activation, and it can be combined with a red fluorescent sensor for Ca2+ to better understand the kinetics of these coordinated, parallel signaling processes.
