Sulconazole
Antifungal/Prevents cancer stem cell formation / Broad-spectrum imidazole antifungal used for the treatment of various skin infections. It inhibits the cytochrome P450 isozyme, C-14-alpha demethylase, preventing ergosterol synthesis. Sulconazole inhibited mammosphere formation, reduced NF-kB, and reduced extracellular IL-8 formation in breast cancer cells leading to inhibition of cancer stem cell formation.1 It has a similar effect on glioma stem cells.2
