PluriSin-1
Stearoyl CoA desaturase inhibitor / PluriSln-1 is an inhibitor of stearoyl-coA desaturase (SCD1). PluriSln-1 was able to selectively eliminate human pluripotent stem cells (hPSCs) while not affecting a large array of progenitor and differentiated cells.1 The ability to eliminate potentially tumorigenic undifferentiated cells is important for increasing the safety of hPSC-based treatments. PluriSln-1 has been used to successfully eliminate tumorigenic cells in cardiomyocytes2 and chondrogenic cells3.
