PGD Hydrogels are a family of animal-free, biocompatible and biodegradable synthetic extracellular matrices for cell-based experiments, in vivo cargo delivery and tissue engineering. PGD hydrogel scaffolds are composed of peptides which self-assemble spontaneously to generate a 3D matrix. The hydrogel’s mechanical and chemical properties can be customized according to the needs of the cells or the experimental design and allow easy cell extraction, downstream mRNA and qPCR analysis and cell counting.
PGD hydrogels are suitable for a wide range of applications including 2D and 3D cell cultures, stem cells experiments, in vitro organ models, regenerative medicine, bacteria and virus culturing, vaccine development and drug and biological delivery.

Getting Started with PGD-Hydrogels
Most cells grow well in any of the PGD-Hydrogel formulations. Optimal results will be dependent on cell source, lineage and application in response to gel net charge and firmness. For best performance, it is recommended to optimize conditions using the PGD-Hydrogel Starter Pack which includes 1ml samples of all five formulations.
