qPCR Detection Kits, allergens
genesig Allergen Detection Kits provide a method for detecting species-specific DNA that may be present in food. PCR amplification is detected by means of a hydrolysis probe (“Taqman-style”) which is degraded during PCR, releasing fluorescence. The fluorescence trace can be used to detect DNA present in the sample.
Under optimal PCR conditions the kit provides exceptional sensitivity and can detect faint traces of target DNA in the presence of a wide range of other DNA sequences.
The kit provides species specific primers and probe that detect the species of interest. The primers and probe are read through the FAM channel and detect the presence of the allergen-encoding DNA for that particular species.
