IL-8 / CXCL8, human recombinant
Interleukin-8 (IL-8 or CXCL8) is an inflammatory chemokine of the CXC family that can be produced by a variety of cells but is predominantly studied in the context of macrophages and epithelial cells. IL-8 is a ligand for GPCRs, CXCR1 and CXCR2, and acts to recruit innate immune cells as well as induce phagocytosis. IL-8 is also able to induce Angiogenesis.
